Trusted Cremation™ Provider Network is an international directory of cremation providers, some who have achieved the funeral industry’s highest designation as a Nationally Accredited Cremation Provider.  The accreditation standards have been duly developed and recognized by the National Cremation Research Council™ which seeks to advance the quality and performance of those providing cremation services to the general public and fellow professionals.

Trusted Cremation Guarantee

National Accreditation is important because it provides a means to benchmark current processes and identifies opportunities for improvement designed to raise the national standard.  Accreditation challenges all cremation providers to improve the services they offer the cremation consumer and bring honor the profession as a whole.

To maintain accreditation, cremation providers must adhere to the strictest of standards, by affirmation and pledge, to abide by the ethical code encompassed in the Declaration of Professional Responsibility set forth by the Trusted Cremation Provider Network and the National Cremation Research Council.

The Declaration of Professional Responsibility is an oath by which cremation professionals publicly affirm and through their commitment of professional conduct, the ideals that have inspired individuals to enter the death care industry, caring for society, since the earliest of documented history.

The Declaration imposes twenty-one duties and obligations on cremation professionals in their roles as death care providers. The first through the fourth duties and obligations are commitments to the profession and public trust. The fifth and sixth duties and obligations are commitments to the deceased and their survivors. The seventh through the eleventh duties and obligations are commitments to positive identification. The twelfth through the twenty-first duties and obligations are commitments to the Standards for National Accreditation.

As a professional oath, the Declaration of Professional Responsibility is activated when cremation professionals speak it aloud, affirming, “We as the professional caretakers of society’s dead, make these promises and commitments, solemnly freely, and upon our personal and professional honor, so help me God.”

In order to maintain continued accreditation, death care providers and their respective officers must confirm their adherence to the Declaration of Professional Responsibility and their commitment to these standards.

Trusted Cremation™ providers are subject to remote and on-site inspections as a method to maintain their accreditation.
